PANAMA (Sputnik) — Morales added that the US ambassador was trying to ruin the presidential government in Bolivia and was plotting conspiracies together with the opposition.
“Now, without the US ambassador, from the political point of view, and from the democratic one, the situation in the country is much better than before,” Morales said in Panama, where the Summit of the Americas is taking place.
Morales claimed that the United States, acting through their ambassador, was hindering his work as Bolivian president.
In 2008, Evo Morales declared Phillip Goldberg persona non grata and gave him 72 hours to leave the country, accusing him of plotting against the Bolivian government.
In June 2014, Peter Brennan was appointed Charge d’Affaires of the US embassy in Bolivia.
