NASA has published two hours' worth of footage from the latest International Space Station (ISS) spacewalks, captured with GoPro action cameras. The high-res videos show what for the majority the ultimate, yet unattainable adventure is.

Expedition 42 Commander Barry Wilmore and Flight Engineer Terry Virts captured the footage on February 25 and March 1 as they ventured into outer space to prepare the station for the arrival of commercial spacecraft in the coming years.

The astronauts installed several antennas and routed 400 feet of power and data cables, earning the nickname cable guys.

In total, Wilmore and Virts successfully completed three spacewalks, known as EVA's, in February and March. Combined, EVA 30 and EVA 31 lasted more than 12 hours.

By the way, you can see Russian cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov floating by right at the start of the video. Shkaplerov and Samantha Cristoforetti, a European Space Agency astronaut from Italy, helped NASA astronauts prior to the first spacewalk of the series, conducted on February 21.

The cosmonaut posted a series of tweets with photos of Wilmore and Virts getting ready for the daunting task.
