If speculations are confirmed, Clinton will be the first Democratic presidential candidate to announce the campaign for the presidential elections 2016. She is considered the frontrunner within the Democratic Party.
Clinton ran for president in 2008 but eventually incumbent US President Barack Obama came out as the victor. She assumed the position of the Secretary of State under the Obama administration between 2009 and 2013.
In March, Clinton faced a fair share of criticism for the use of a personal email address during her tenure as the Secretary of State, as was reported by The New York Times citing State Department sources.
Democratic Party presidential primaries will take place in 50 states, the District of Columbia and US territories prior to the 2016 general election to determine the party nominee for Presidency of the United States.
