"If someone thinks that they are amazing wheeler-dealers and will remain invisible to the authorities, let them cherish no such illusions. I can assure you that all of them will suffer deserved punishment," Aksenov said.
"All those crooks who worked under the Ukrainian authorities and think that they will continue to do so should now stop. I do not want to threaten anyone, but I warn that no mercy will be given," he added.
Aksenov spoke two days after Emil Gafarov, head of the customs checkpoint "Dzhankoi," located on the border with Ukraine, was detained red-handed by local Federal Security Service agents on suspicion of taking a bribe.
He is accused of receiving money for free import of smuggled goods into the territory of Crimea from Ukraine.
Commenting on Gafarov's detention, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, for his part, described such officials as "hard-to-be-afraid."

"Hard-to-be-afraid. A week ago I discussed the topic with security officials and representatives of the Rosgranitsa Agency at the Simferopol airport, "Rogozin said in his twitter account earlier this week.
