MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Germanwings’ flight 4U826 from Cologne to Milan was evacuated on Sunday after a bomb threat, local media reported.
The plane, an Airbus A320, was preparing for takeoff when its evacuation was ordered by police, according to Bild. There were on 126 passengers and six crew members on board the aircraft.
No explosives were found during a search with bomb-sniffing dogs, a police spokeswoman told the newspaper. A bomb disposal squad continues work at the scene.
The incident comes some two weeks after another one of Germanwings’ A320’s crashed into French Alps, killing all 150 people on board.
According to data from the plane’s black boxes, the co-pilot deliberately crashed the plane after locking the pilot out of the cockpit.
