Idea That Iran Poses Nuclear Threat is Farce - Analyst Peter Koenig
MOSCOW (Sputnik) The group of six nations negotiating with Iran on its nuclear program plans to hold the next round of nuclear talks by the end of this month, Russia’s envoy to the talks said Monday.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said the talks will be held “by the end of April,” but the date remains to be set.

The diplomatic level of the talks also remains to be determined, he said.

On April 2, the so-called P5+1 group, comprising Russia, the United States, the United Kingdom, China, France and Germany, reached a political framework agreement with Tehran.

Iran agreed to decrease the level of uranium enrichment and cut down the number of centrifuges, as well as provide access to international monitors to its nuclear facilities.

On April 9, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said the country would not sign a final agreement, due by the end of June, on its nuclear program if all sanctions against Tehran were not lifted. The sanctions have been imposed on Iran on the suspicions that the country is developing nuclear weapons, which Iranian authorities have denied.
