MOSCOW (Sputnik) — At least three people were killed and six injured after a car crashed into a restaurant and then exploded in the Somali capital of Mogadishu, Al Jazeera reported Tuesday.
According to other media reports, the number of those killed has reached 10, with the death toll expected to rise further. No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, the broadcaster reported.
The blast-hit restaurant is located near the Central Hotel, which was attacked by gunmen in February resulting in the deaths of 25 people.
On Monday, the country suffered a deadly attack when a bus carrying UNICEF workers was blown up by a remote improvised explosive device, killing four staff members and injuring another four. Al-Shabaab militant group claimed responsibility for the attack.
