MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Ukraine needs to remain whole and it is inadmissible to tear it to pieces, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Wednesday.
"We want peace and calm in Ukraine. In order for this, Ukraine needs to remain whole and not be allowed to be torn to pieces, and this type of mood is already being said in some places in Europe, who at one time after World War II gave parts of their territories to what is today’s Ukraine and where minorities are now living," Lavrov said during an interview to Russian radio stations Sputnik, Ekho Moskvy, and Govorit Moskva.
