MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russia’s lower house of parliament, the State Duma, plans to ratify on Friday a large gas delivery deal with China that would deliver energy along the Eastern route pipeline beginning in 2019, First Deputy Duma Speaker Alexander Zhukov said Thursday.
“Among other important issues [for review by the State Duma on Friday], I would highlight the ratification of an agreement on delivering gas to China that was signed last year. This is a very large-scale document, deliveries of gas [to China] along the so-called Eastern route pipeline starting from 2019, according to the agreements,” Zhukov told journalists.
