MOSCOW, April 23 (Sputnik) — Defense ministers from almost 40 countries have been invited to attend the inaugural Army-2015 international forum to be held outside Moscow June 16-19, organizers said Thursday.
"Invitations, signed by the [Russian] defense minister, have been sent to defense ministers of 38 countries," the organizers told journalists.
The list of those invited includes Russia's partners within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), comprising China and former Soviet Central Asian republics, and within BRICS, according to the organizers.
The Army-2015 forum is in part aimed at strengthening ties between potential weapon suppliers and the Russian Armed Forces.
