MOSCOW (Sputnik) — A 5.5-magnitude earthquake hit US California on Thursday evening (1:34 GMT Friday), the United States Geological Survey said.
The epicenter was at an approximate depth of 6 miles in the Pacific Ocean, about 157 miles from a California's city of Ferndale, according to the scientific agency.
No victims, injured or damage have been reported.
The US National Tsunami Warning Center did not inform on tsunami possibility.
