The Russian biker club "Night Wolves", which decided to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Soviet victory over Nazism by organizing a bike journey from Moscow to Berlin, may be banned from entering the EU, with the German Foreign Office cancelling their travel visas, according to the newspaper.
On Friday, the Polish Foreign Ministry in Warsaw announced that it would not allow Russian bikers to enter its territory. It had informed the Russian embassy in a diplomatic note of its decision, causing a negative reaction among Russian officials.
According to reports, this situation will not contribute to the strengthening of Russian-EU relations.
The members of the Russian biker club "Night Wolves" are planning to ride through Minsk, Brest, Wrocław, Brno, Bratislava, Vienna, Munich and Prague. They want to end their journey on May 9 in Berlin, where they would lay flowers at the monument to the Soviet soldiers at Treptower Park.
