CNN has resumed broadcasting in Russia according to a spokesperson for CNN's owner, Turner Broadcasting International, the Russian media reported on Wednesday.
"CNN started rebroadcasting in Russia on April 29. The advertising-free broadcasts are being conducted in line with the current legislation of the Russia Federation," the spokesperson said.
Earlier, CNN broadcasted in Russia as part of a package offered by NTV Plus, a satellite TV operator. In November 2014, Turner Broadcasting International said that CNN will stop broadcasting in Russia as of January 2015 due to the "latest amendments to Russian legislation."
