UNITED NATIONS (Sputnik) — The DPRK diplomats argued that the United States had no right to raise the human rights issues of other countries as it is the world's "principal human rights violator" citing torture and other crimes by the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
According to the DPRK mission, Washington should disclose the full version of its report on torture by the CIA at its detention centers and take measures to punish those responsible for the crimes.
According to the Senate report, some of the interrogation methods that the CIA used on suspects after the September 11 bombings include waterboarding, mock executions, the threat of sexual abuse and threats against family.
In February 2014, the UN Commission of Inquiry released a report documenting wide-ranging crimes against humanity in North Korea, urging the international community to protect North Korean people from their government.
