US Secretary of State John Kerry assured Sunday that the nuclear deal with Iran does not endanger Israel, amid Jerusalem's concerns that Tehran will develop a nuclear weapon.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been opposing the deal which would ease sanctions against Iran in exchange for the Islamic Republic making its nuclear program more transparent.

"I say to every Israeli that today we have the ability to stop them if they decided to move quickly to a bomb and I absolutely guarantee that in the future we will have the ability to know what they are doing so that we can still stop them if they decided to move to a bomb," Kerry told Israeli Channel 10 in an interview, parts of which were aired Saturday.

The US State Secretary added that the United States would never disappoint Israel, or sign a deal that would enable Iran to develop nuclear weapons. There will be inspectors in Iran "every day," he underscored.

"There have to be inspections. There's a lot of hysteria about this deal. People really need to look at the facts, look at the science of what is behind those facts… We ask people to measure carefully what the agreement is, and wait until we have an agreement to make all these judgments," Kerry said.

On April 2, negotiators from Iran and six world powers, including Russia and the United States, reached the framework of a comprehensive agreement that would guarantee the peaceful nature of Tehran's nuclear program. A final deal is set to be signed by July.

Netanyahu has repeatedly stated that the deal is dangerous for Israel. Earlier on Saturday, the prime minister called on countries around the world to make a better agreement, according to local media.
