The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has real-life Terminators.

The video shows a number of robots designed and built by DARPA, each looking surprising life-like as they carry out several different tasks. The variety of robots includes some with four "legs," some with two, and others running on tracks, all of which are able to move smoothly through different terrains.
