MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Chinese leader Xi Jinping has invited Russian President Vladimir Putin to attend events on September 3 in China to celebrate the end of WWII.
“During those years, China was the main front of World War II in Asia, and during the time of war, a solid combat friendship was formed between our peoples,” Xi told Putin.
Xi said that there would be ceremonies in China on September 3 and “wholeheartedly invite you to participate in these ceremonies.”
