With 42 days without a new case, Liberia has been declared Ebola-free by the World Health Organization; the decision was hailed by medical charity Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF), or Doctors Without Borders, a French-founded humanitarian-aid non-governmental organization.
At the same time, MSF urged vigilance until the deadly virus of Ebola is completely eradicated in neighboring Guinea and Sierra Leone.
The Ebola outbreak in the three countries has claimed the lives of 11,005 people since December 2013.
