MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On Saturday, an A400M plane crashed shortly after takeoff in Seville, during a test flight. According to the latest information, six people were aboard the aircraft. Four died, while two are hospitalized.
Local media reported that the plane was intended for the Turkish army.
According to Turkey's Hurriet newspaper, Airbus was supposed to deliver 10 aircraft of this kind until 2018. Ankara has only received two A400M planes to date.
Following the incident in Seville, Germany and the United Kingdom suspended flights of their A400M planes until the cause of the crash is identified.
