MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The fourth suspect has been detained by the Hattiesburg police in Mississippi over involvement in a killing of two police officers, who were fatally shot on Saturday evening, according to local media reports.
Cornelius Clark, 28-years-old, allegedly was in the car with other suspects, that opened fire on the officers who had made a traffic stop, local WDAM TV channel reported Sunday.
Three people have been arrested following the lethal shooting, earlier in the day. Two of the suspects, Marvin Banks and Joanie Calloway, were each charged with two counts of capital murder.
The third man, Marvin's younger brother Curtis Banks, was charged with two counts of accessory, according to earlier reports in the local media.
Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant has expressed Sunday his condolences following the incident.
