MOSCOW (Sputnik) – According to the press release, the incident occurred on Sunday morning, when the prison underwent “a series of inmate on inmate altercations.”
“Staff immediately intervened and appropriate medical care was provided to the inmates involved. Two staff were treated at a local hospital for minor injuries and released back to work,” the statement posted on the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services’ website said, without detailing who was involved.
Prison authorities decided to postpone all planned events due to the incident and put the facility in lockdown for the rest of the weekend.
