A South Korean reservist committed suicide after killing one soldier and wounding three others at a training site in Naegok-dong, a neighborhood of Seoul. One of injured is reported to be in a critical condition.
The 23-year-old shooter, identified only as Choi, opened fire at his fellow soldiers at approximately 10:40 a.m. (01:40 a.m. GMT). An investigation into the shooting is currently underway.
The incident took place during an annual three-day training session. South Korean reserve soldiers have to participate in them for a period of up to eight years following compulsory military service.
Shooting incidents are not uncommon in South Korea.
