"The military registration and enlistment office of Russia's Samara Region has called up a citizen of the Ukrainian town of Slavyansk, Dmitry Golovin, for military service," the press service said.
"Golovin received Russian citizenship and expressed his desire to serve in the army. He will serve in one of the mechanized infantry units of the Russian Ground Forces", the press service added.
It also said that Golovin and his family crossed the Russian-Ukrainian border last year after the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine's south-east. The family received refugee housing in the Samara Region, where they are doing the same job they did in Slavyansk.
"The Golovins received municipal housing in the Samara Region. In addition, Dmitry's parents are now working in line with their specialization; his father is an ambulance driver, while his mother is a paramedic," the press service said.
After the raid which began in Donbass last April, refugees fled the region and hundreds of thousands of people were internally displaced or sought refugee status. According to the Federal Migration Service, Russia is home to more than 2.5 million Ukrainian citizens, of whom nearly 954,000 come from the south-east of Ukraine.

As for the Samara Region, about 6,530 Ukrainian citizens have come there since April 2014. 5,936 of them have already received the status of temporary asylum and 74 more became Russian citizens.
