Anti-Houthi Operation Decisive Storm began on March 26 at the request of displaced President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, who had fled to neighboring Saudi Arabia amid the fighting.

On April 21, the Arab coalition announced an end to the military operation and launched Operation Restoring Hope to provide a humanitarian corridor for residents in need of assistance and focus on counter-terrorism efforts.

UN figures say the Saudi-led coalition's air campaign has killed over 1,600, injured more than 6,000 and displaced tens of thousands more.
