National 9/11 Memorial Evacuated for Hazardous Materials Concerns
23:57 GMT 17.05.2015 (Updated: 08:36 GMT 18.05.2015) Hazardous materials concerns have forced the evacuation of the National September 11 Memorial and Museum.
The New York police department told media that chemicals used to kill algae in the reflecting pools triggered strong odors which led to the evacuation.
Visitors reported smelling fumes and the area was evacuated as a precaution.
