MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Las Vegas Review Journal reported that flames spread from the wreckage of the plane that went down late Sunday in Laughlin, some 100 miles south of Las Vegas.
The outlet says firefighters that arrived at the scene of the incident fear the blaze may spread to nearby buildings.
One person died immediately, while three others were hospitalized with burn wounds, the publication cited the Last Vegas Fire Department as saying without elaborating on the survivors' condition.
Although further details were not disclosed, the Review Journal quoted a National Weather Service official saying no significant weather conditions were observed at the time of the accident.
The type of aircraft or the circumstance of its crash were also unknown as of late Sunday, the publication said, adding only that the Federal Aviation Administration was aware of the incident.
