MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russia’s gas giant Gazprom plans to maintain last year’s level of gas extraction at 16 to 17 billion cubic meters in 2015 at its Sakhalin-2 field, the company’s head of extraction said Tuesday.
“Around 16-17 billion (cubic meters) of gas this year, we have no decreases,” Vsevolod Cherepanov told journalists during a press conference.
The Sakhalin-2 field is operated by Sakhalin Energy, in which Gazprom holds 50 percent plus one stake, Shell – 27.5 percent minus one share, Mitsui & Co., Ltd – 12.5 percent, and Mitsubishi Corporation with 10 percent.
