"Most Germans want their German media, whether they are newspapers and/or TV and radio channels to be as objective and broad-based as they had been used to in the past and no longer parts of NATO press offices or US-based information networks."
He also stressed the overall "discontent with the US/GB/Murdoch monopoly," pointing to Russian media's "fair approach" to the coverage of global events.
In total, over 5,000 people in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Greece and the United States took part in the poll conducted between March 20 and April 9, 2015.
Since the Ukraine crisis escalated in 2014, many Western media outlets have adopted a one-sided approach in their coverage of events, blaming Russia for its alleged meddling in the conflict despite a lack of independently verified evidence to support this.
