WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The US Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is looking for individuals suspected of setting fires during the April 2015 riots in Baltimore, Maryland and asks the public to help identify them, ATF Baltimore Special Agent in Charge William McMullan said in a statement.
“Those individuals who committed these acts need to be held accountable for their dangerous actions,” McMullan said on Thursday. “We are asking for the public’s assistance in the identification of the individuals responsible for these crimes.”

In April 2015, Baltimore saw a wave of violence following the funeral of African-American man Freddie Gray, who died of injuries sustained in a police van after an illegal arrest.

Protests over Gray’s death and against police brutality turned into riots, resulting in the destruction of 15 buildings and 144 cars, as well as looted stores.
Suspects made five incendiary devices with materials presumably stolen from the stores, and detonated four of them at various points on April 27, 2015, the ATF said.
The ATF has distributed flyers throughout Baltimore offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the people responsible for the incidents.
