MOSCOW (Sputnik) — British Sun newspaper journalist Anthony France was found guilty for paying a police officer over $30,000 to obtain stories and exclusive information, the BBC reported Friday.
France was reportedly receiving story tips from Heathrow Airport counter-terrorism officer Timothy Edwards.
Some 43 stories have been sold to France, the BBC said.
France has denied the allegations.
Edwards was sentenced back in 2014 after pleading guilty to misconduct in a public office.
The trial was a part of British Metropolitan Police investigation into alleged payments to public officials in exchange for information.
Forty-three-year-old Anthony France will be sentenced on May 29.
