Mass graves containing bodies of hundreds of suspected migrants from Myanmar and Bangladesh have been found by local police in northern Malaysian state of Perlis, news reports said.
It was not immediately clear how many graves and bodies had been discovered in Perlis, which borders Thailand. According to some media reports, at least 30 graves have been found.
Thousands of Bangladeshi refugees fleeing poverty and Rohingya Muslims fleeing horrible living conditions and persecution in Buddhist-majority Myanmar, leave their countries of origin hoping to reach shores of Thailand, Malaysia or Indonesia.
