The Saudi-led coalition has launched a series of air strikes on Houthi arms depots located on the eastern outskirts of the Yemeni capital Sanaa; the air raids sparked explosions, leaving at least eight civilians dead and twenty more injured, media reports said.
The Houthis are an armed group which retains de facto control of Yemen's capital city and most of the north of the country; they forced the government to resign in January but neighboring Saudi Arabia has intervened with air strikes on behalf of the exiled president.
Almost 2,000 people have been killed and more than 8,000 injured in the Yemen conflict since March 2015, according to the World Health Organization.
