MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russia’s Rosatom is ready to take part in the construction of nuclear power plants in the United Kingdom, the company’s Deputy Director General Kirill Komarov said Monday.
“We retain an interest in participating in the British nuclear program,” Komarov said at the ATOMEXPO International Forum.
He added that Russia has noted the favorable conditions granted to foreign companies taking part in the Hinkley Point nuclear power station project.
“If the same rules will be available to Rosatom as to other foreign participants, the Russian state corporation is ready to take part in projects to build new nuclear power facilities in the United Kingdom and invest in them," Komarov said.
