MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Under the Vienna document 2011 on confidence- and security-building measures, Russian experts will carry out inspections from June 2 to June 5 at a specified territory in Slovenia where 17 NATO member states and their partners are holding military exercises, acting head of the Defense Ministry’s National Nuclear Risk Reduction Center said.
“From 2nd to 5th of June, under the Vienna document 2011 on confidence- and security-building measures, a Russian team of inspectors is planning to carry out an inspection of a specified area on the territory of Slovenia… the Russian inspectors will visit military training fields and receive briefings from the command of military formations and units including on the Adriatic Strike 2015 drills in Slovenia’s north-east,” Ruslan Shishin said.
The Vienna document 2011 envisages the exchange of information on military forces and defense budgets by the document's signatory states.
