KIEV (Sputnik) – Poroshenko said during his annual address to the country’s parliament on Thursday:

“I’m often asked if I’m satisfied with the work of the government. No. If I’m satisified with the work of the Verkhovna Rada. Obviously, also not.”

Poroshenko said that he often gets complaints for the lack of criticism of the government in the media.

“Do you know why? Because the people are dissatisfied with all of us,” Poroshenko added.

Ukrainians barely have faith in their political system, do not want the government to appoint local leaders and believe that the country is moving in the wrong direction, reports Ukrainian media site ‘Vesti’ with reference to the results of a study conducted by several international companies and Ukrainian sociological group ‘Rating’.

The Ukrainian economy has suffered greatly from the armed conflict in the country's eastern Donetsk and Lugansk regions over the last year. The country's authorities have estimated that reconstruction in the troubled regions would cost about $1.5 billion.
