An All Nippon Airways (ANA) Boeing 767 with 101 passengers on board made an emergency landing in the Naha Airport in the Japanese prefecture of Okinawa after white haze was spotted in the cockpit.
Less than an hour after the plane took off from the airport in the city of Ishigaki in Okinawa the pilot noticed what the airline described as a "haze-like thing" and a burning smell. He decided to land the plane, which was en route to Tokyo.
The aircraft did not appear to be damaged but the company opted to switch the plane to transport passengers to the Japanese capital.
ANA said the incident was under investigation.
