Iran previously hosted an anti-ISIL cartoon contest, which the Islamic State group. Cartoonists from countries including China, Poland, Italy and Russia took part in the contest.
"Through the language of images, cartoonists from around the world are ready to call on the international community about the inadmissibility of interference into Yemen's internal affairs, and to shed light on the real situation in the country today," the head of the contest, Seyed Mas'ud Shojaei Tabatabaei told Sputnik Persian.
Tabatabei added that the goal is to bring attention to what the cartoonists see as the personalities responsible for the conflict.
"It is sad to realize that Western media is silent about the invasion into Yemen. It is no accident. There is no doubt that Saudi aggression is being carried out under the US' watchful control," Tabatabaei added.
