MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russia has taken on responsibilities for all nuclear facilities located on the Crimean Peninsula and will use the facilities for only peaceful purposes, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on its website Thursday.
“Operating within its jurisdiction, Russia has taken upon itself full responsibility for the nuclear facilities located in the [Russian] Federation’s new subjects. We plan to use these facilities exclusively for peaceful purposes,” the Foreign Ministry’s website reads.
