Russian specialists will inspect a part of Hungary’s territory on June 15-18 within the framework of the 2011 Vienna Document which implements confidence and security building measures, Sergei Ryzhkov, head of the Russian National Center for Reducing Nuclear Threat, said.
"The inspection will be held in order to assess the scope of military activity or absence of military activity in the designated area. According to the document, any military activity must be reported in advance."
The upcoming inspection will cover the area of nearly 16,000 square kilometers, Ryzhkov added.
Russian inspectors will visit military training ranges as well as command briefings. They will be provided with information of the military activity in the area, including the Capable Logistician 2015 military drills which are being held on June 1-26.
