A shootout occurred at the 3200 block of Reynolds Avenue near Interstate 30 and Dolphin Road shortly after 1 a.m. when police responded to a 911 call about a disturbance there.
"One officer encountered the suspect in the backyard, at which time the suspect fled into the home," said police spokesman Maj. Jeff Cotner. "The officer pursued the suspect and then deployed and used his taser. The suspect then produced a gun, at which time the officer retreated and discharged his weapon at the suspect.
According to investigators, four people were shot inside the home. It’s not clear whether their wounds resulted from the officer firing his weapon.
Cotner said all suspects are in custody and at least one victim suffered life-threatening injuries.
