Gordon Glenn Hoover was found guilty by a Montgomery County jury on Thursday.
He was stopped by officer Salvador “Alex” Maldonado of the Splendora Police Department on May 2, 2014, for stopping his vehicle in the middle of an intersection at FM 2090 and Old Highway 59 and failing to use his turn signal.
According to Maldonado, Hoover presented a fraudulent driver’s license when he was questioned. The officer reportedly obtained permission to search Hoover’s vehicle and found a digital scale with methamphetamine residue on it.
