NEW YORK (Sputnik) – A Delta Airlines flight from London to Newark-Liberty International Airport in the US state of New Jersey is being searched in an isolated area, the Port Authority Police Benevolent Association (PAPBA) said Monday via social media.
“Delta Flight 69 from London, unspecified threat, brought to remote area,” PAPBA stated.
The flight had 191 passengers about and 11 crew members, the PAPBA added.
CBS News New York reported a bomb threat was called in earlier in the day.
A heavy police presence can be seen at the airport, NBC 4 News reported.
The search comes one day after a bomb threat was made at nearby John F. Kennedy International Airport, where police searched a New York bound flight from Italy.
