A passenger train has collided with a truck southwest of the Tunisian capital Tunis, in a crash that left at least 17 people dead and 70 others injured, sources said.
The accident took place near the town of at El Fahes, about 60 kilometers (40 miles) southwest of Tunis, during the morning rush hour. The truck driver managed to survive and is currently being questioned by police.
Tunisian Transport Minister Mahmoud Ben Romdhane has, meanwhile, warned that the death toll from the train crash could rise.
