Nikolai Balan, Commander of the Ukrainian National Guard, discussed with his American counterpart Major General David Baldwin various aspects of US-Ukrainian joint drills and cooperation priorities.
Major General Baldwin expressed respect for Ukrainian forces fighting in Donbass. He also shared some tactics tips on dealing with mass riots.
On Thursday, the US Senate passed by a veto-proof majority the $612 billion National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) to fund the US Armed Forces through 2016. The NDAA approves some $200 million in lethal military assistance to Ukraine.
