MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The EU Eastern Partnership program was a mistake which led to the Ukrainian crisis, Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov said Friday.
"As someone who has been observing the Eastern Partnership agenda, [I can say] it was the gravest mistake of the European Union to suggest this format, and this mistake led to the disastrous consequences we are witnessing in Ukraine today," Shuvalov said.
