ST PETERSBURG (Sputnik) — The Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague instructed that 47 Belgian and Russian companies be stripped of assets to the tune of 1.65 billion euros ($1.87 billion) in connection to a lawsuit by former shareholders of the now dismantled Yukos oil company on Wednesday.
Following The Hague court's decision, Belgium and France began seizing Russian state-owned property abroad.
"We shall [launch the court case]. In the national courts, of course. We shall, for sure, if the situation is not solved," Konovalov said.
According to the minister, the decision to seize the Russian property could be called off.
