TOKYO (Sputnik) — All the flights from Seoul to Komatsu Airport in Japan's Ishikawa Prefecture will be suspended for a month since July 1, the Japanese broadcaster NHK reported Friday.
Early on Friday, media reported that Korean Air canceled its flights to Akita Prefecture in the north of Japan between June 29 and July 30.
The MERS outbreak that had begun in South Korea in May killed 24 people in the country so far. The number of the confirmed cases is 166. On Friday, the country’s Ministry of Health and Welfare reported that the outbreak appeared to have subsided.
