MOSCOW (Sputnik) – At least 3 people were shot in a park in Jersey City, WABC-TV reports, saying that the victims could have sustained life-threatening injuries in what is the third open-air shooting to take place in the United States over the weekend.
The shooting occurred on Sunday night and Jersey police confirmed to WABC-TV that at least 3 people were hurt.
RT reported that 4 people were shot in Jersey City on Sunday, including two 15-year-old teenagers.
The Detroit shooting left one person dead and 11 others wounded. The Philadelphia shooting resulted in 10 people being injured, including 3 children.
Police are investigating all of three shootings that come in the wake of the Charleston church massacre.
On Wednesday, Dylann Roof, a white 21-year-old who identifies with racist apartheid groups, opened fire at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church in Charleston, South Carolina. As a result, nine people were killed. Roof has confessed to murdering the churchgoers and was charged with 9 counts of murder and possession of a firearm on Friday.
