Whilst some are already celebrating their victory and inclusion in the Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 Olympic programs — others haven't quite made it to the finish line, just yet…
In December, the International Olympic Committee approved new reforms known as “Olympic Agenda 2020,” allowing Olympic host cities to propose that or more events be included into the games.
In August 2016, the governing body of Bowling will make presentations in Tokyo and organizers will then make recommendations to the IOC about whether they want bowling added to the Games in 2020.
Unfortunately for chess fans, the IOC did not select the game as one of the sports for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
