MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russia launched on Tuesday a Soyuz-2.1b space rocket carrying a military satellite, a spokesman for Russia's Aerospace Defense Forces said.
"A medium-class Soyuz-2.1b rocket with a military satellite lifted off from the Plesetsk space center in northern Russia," Col. Dmitry Zenin told RIA Novosti.
The official did not specify the details of the mission or the type of the satellite.
This is the third launch of a Soyuz-2 class carrier rocket conducted by the Russian Aerospace Defense Forces from Plesetsk in 2015.
